GOC345666 – Space Optimization & Furniture Retrofit
The project is to carry out a tenant improvement for the existing tenant, Transport Canada Marine Safety and Security Branch, on the northern corner of the 4th floor of the Ocean Centre at 309 West Second Avenue (room 400) The area is 195.8 m2. The tenant improvement is an office refit including the removal of existing (non-load bearing) walls to maximize floor space and include the design for purchasing new furniture that complies with Workplace 2.0 Standards. The furniture will be purchased separately by Transport Canada as per their allowable limit under their Statement of Work. The scope of work includes redesigning the space to accommodate the maximum amount of workstations, demolition of partitions, construction of new partitions, ceiling grid repairs, replacement of finishes and the set-up of new workstations.
Currently, there are eleven staff members. The space to be evaluated with Workspace 2.0 considerations and advised on the maximum number of workstations capable without compromising critical office functionality.
Floor plans are provided in Appendix 7 – consultants to verify actual measurements while on site.
