GOC325910 CSR1 - Cs - Loading Dock Heater Installation

The loading dock at the Major General Parkes building, located at 101 Colonel By Drive, is an unheated area which can be exposed to freezing temperatures periodically during the winter months. These temperatures support the formation of ice on the floor areas of the loading dock which create a slipping hazard. The following is required to address the issue: unheated air curtain at outer overhead door; steam unit heaters to maintain the space temperature of the locading dock above 10 degrees Celcius; all associated piping, accessories, electrical and controls; and, control and monitoring from the Building Automation System. Retain the services of an air balancing company to assist with an assesment of the ventilation systems and the presurrization of the loading dock with respect to the remainder of the building and make recommendations.
The Consultant will engage and carry all costs to complete the design, tender, construction management phases and close-out, all of which is expected to include specialists from each of the following disciplines:
Prime consultant: Mechanical Engineer
The prime consultant is responsible to determine the requirement for any sub-consultants and to engage them as may be necessary.
