GOC376853 - Contractor - EWA-Boiler and Humidification Upgrade

1.      The purpose of this renovation is to remove the two existing steam boilers and all associated steam & condensate piping and accessories from the existing steam to water heating system. The two steam boilers will be replaced with a hybrid boiler system consisting of one condensing boiler and two near condensing boilers. The existing humidifier fed from steam boilers will be removed and replaced with a new, standalone gas fired steam humidifier.
a.      Remove two existing steam boilers. Remove all associated steam and condensate piping including the two existing heat exchangers. Remove existing steam boiler venting including water heater venting. Remove existing steam unit heater. Radiation pumps and heating loop pumps to remain. Remove existing steam boiler controls.
b.      Install hybrid boiler plant consisting of one condensing and two near condensing boilers, complete with new boiler circulation pumps. Hybrid boiler plant to have onboard boiler controls. Replace motors on two existing radiation pumps and install two new VFD’s. Install new VFD for existing heating loop pump in penthouse. New boilers and existing water heater to be vented using existing chimney as chase, from lower level up through penthouse to roof. Install new unit heater.
c.      Remove existing steam grid in AHU ductwork and replace with new steam grid. Install new stand alone, gas fired humidifier in penthouse.
