PWG292622 - Potable Water Quality Sampling and Repairs

Consultant Services to provide potable water quality sampling testing services wihin the entire Building 5 and report on the findings of that testing.

Project intent is to perform potable water sampling and analysis as it applies to cold water drinking fountains and cold water used for drinking and food preparation within Building 5 . Any identified deficiencies as it applies to the Building’s potable water will be provided to the Project Manager as part of the overall consultant project report of analysis findings for their consideration. 
The provision of potable water, in accordance with prescribed standards is a requirement under the Canada Labour Code Part II, Article 125 (j).  The prescribed standard, the Guidelines for Canadian Drinking Water Quality is set as part of the
 Canada Occupational Safety and Health Regulations and further supported by the National Joint Council Occupational Health and Safety Directive. Potable water quality management helps to ensure appropriate measures are in place in buildings to adhere to applicable laws and federal government standards and policies while ensuring due diligence through the prevention, detection, response, recovery and investigation of potable water related concerns.
Potable water sampling and analysis applies to cold water drinking fountains and cold water used for drinking and food preparation. It does not apply to hot water systems or related system components, nor does it apply to the purchase of drinking water.
